In the beautiful region of Tuscany, in northwest Italy, just 35 kilometres from historic Florence. The Mugello track is owned by Ferrari and this GP will coincidentally be Ferrari’s 1000th race. Mugello circuit opened in June 1974. In 1988 Ferrari purchased the track, mostly due to being a 75-mile drive away from their Maranello headquarters.
2020 will mark the first time that Mugello will host a Formula 1 World Championship event — though it’s been host to many MotoGPs over the years.
